Dr. Featherson, a Licensed Psychologist,has extensive experience within the school systems and specializes in providing comprehensive evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults with developmental, learning, behavioral, and social-emotional challenges. She has centered her focus to help students and individuals to understand their strengths and challenges and to cultivate an environment that can help a person to thrive and to grow, whether that be in a person’s school system, job environment, or just everyday life.

Being no stranger to the school system, Dr. Featherson prides herself on having experience with diverse backgrounds and being able to understand how many factors can affect someone’s learning and behavior and works to integrate these factors into final diagnoses. She also is able to provide in-depth consultation and advocacy to families and educational teams, in order to provide the tools needed for an individual to thrive in the environment that they are in.
Overall, her goal is to meet each individual and family where they are at and work with them to develop an assessment battery that will provide in-depth insight into an individual’s cognitive, behavioral, developmental, and/or socio-emotional functioning. In order to give the tools and answers needed to successfully navigate their everyday lives.

Credentials: Dr. Featherson is a Licensed Psychologist in Maryland and Washington D.C. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Tuskegee University, Masters of Science and PhD from Andrews University in Counseling Psychology. She did her internship and post doctoral fellowship within the DC School system, providing psychological services and consultation. She has spent over five years providing comprehensive psychological and psychoeducational assessments to school-aged children ranging from 3 to 19 years old, while also providing comprehensive psychological assessments to college-age students and adults.
