Dr. Ehlers strives to utilize evidence-based treatments, primarily focusing on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). She has completed training and certificate course work in CBT. Services may integrate biofeedback, play therapy, mindfulness, social skills training, family therapies, teletherapy, or acceptance focused approaches based on individual needs. Dr. Ehlers values the uniqueness and strengths of each individual she meets.

Over the years, Dr. Ehlers has co-authored multiple publications and presentations on topics related to pediatric medical conditions (e.g., traumatic brain injury, infectious diseases, sleep disorders) and associated behavioral and neuropsychological sequelae and interventions. She has participated in conferences and training on subjects such as anxiety, play therapy, behavior analysis, neuropsychology, and pediatric psychology.

Dr. Ehlers has begun the Medical and Dental Desensitization Program, which provides services to help children who become significantly distressed, fearful, or overstimulated during medical and dental procedures. Please visit our Medical and Dental Desensitization Program page for more details.

In addition to her professional work, Dr. Ehlers enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, their dog, and other family and friends.
