Jenny Fleming is a Licensed Counselor who embraces the whole child by approaching every individual with an empathic, unconditional positive regard. Jenny applies a prescriptive framework that incorporates developmentally sensitive Play Therapy techniques (artistic expression, sandtray, role playing, sensory-motor, etc) and Cognitive Behavioral skill building (reconceptualization, skill acquisition, and reinforcement) in her work with clients ages 3-15 years. Jenny is collaborative with families, educational providers and other stakeholders to facilitate coordinated wraparound services.

Jenny Fleming is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor – Supervisor(LCPC-S), National Board Certified Counselor (NCC), Registered Play Therapist – Supervisor (RPT-S), and Professional School Counselor.
Jenny is an active board member for the Association of Play Therapy (APT) MD/ DC. Jenny is a dedicated professional who is currently finishing her Advanced Sand Therapy Certificate.
Jenny has been an Elementary School Counselor with Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) for a few years and was a classroom teacher prior to completing her Masters in School Counseling and Post Masters in Play Therapy at Johns’ Hopkins University. She attended University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) for undergraduate college and received a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and an Early Childhood Education Certification.
Jenny enjoys yoga, running, reading and adventuring around Washington DC, her home, with her husband and teacup Chihuahua. She grew up in Montgomery County but loves to travel and visit other cultures and climates.
