Reina is a bilingual psychotherapist who specializes in helping individuals reach a better emotional place. Working with your personal strengths and specific goals, I will help you gain new coping strategies to help you overcome life’s challenges.

Reina says, “My style is collaborative where we will work together to find solutions, specific to your needs, as therapy is not a one size fits all. As a therapist, I believe in empathy and unconditional positive regard as key elements to help build connection and evoke change. I provide clients with a safe space, where clients can process and heal and look forward to working with you through life transitions. I tailor sessions to address unique needs, symptoms, treatment goals and personality of each individual client. I give homework to rehearse skills, practice strategies, challenge destructive beliefs, positive/negative reinforcement, behavioral contracts, and incorporate diary cards into therapy sessions. I encourage a family systems approach incorporating family, school, student needs, and environment. I empower clients through collaboration, and incorporating a culturally responsive approach, responding to your unique problems, identities, and realities.”

Reina has trained in a wide variety of treatment approaches including: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Family Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and Mindfulness. Reina has experience working with children, adolescents and young adults, who have a wide range of concerns including: anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life challenges, ADHD/ADD, trauma, coping skills, grief/loss, LGBTQI/gender identity, peer relationships, suicide ideation, work/life balance, mood disorders, family conflict, stress management, behavioral management, and family stressors or other relational conflict.
