Susan Rail has provided individual, group, and family therapy throughout her professional career. She specializes in treating anxiety, OCD, and depression using evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Training, and Relaxation Techniques to find ways to problem solve and cope with “the now,” so day to day living can feel more peaceful, successful and fulfilling.

Ms. Rail is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has been working in the mental health field since 1987. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Maryland, College Park, and her Masters Degree in Social Work at the University of Maryland at Baltimore. She currently is licensed in Maryland as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C).
Ms. Rail has extensive experience and expertise working with children, adolescents and their families, and adults in a variety of settings. She has worked in psychiatric inpatient, psychiatric day treatment, therapeutic foster care, school, and outpatient settings. For four years, she was the Clinical Director of Oakmont School, a therapeutic school for middle school and high school kids with emotional difficulties.
At Rebecca Resnik and Associates, she continues to work with children, adolescents, and adults ages 10 and above and provides individual therapy, family therapy, and parenting support. Thanks to the warm and supportive atmosphere and staff at Rebecca Resnik and Associates, Ms. Rail has had the opportunity to use both her clinical skills and “people” skills to help her clients find a more peaceful, positive way to cope with the ups and downs of life.
In her free time, Ms. Rail enjoys running, traveling, music and spending time with her husband, parents, sisters, nephews and friends. She and her husband are dog lovers and are enjoying the companionship and fun with their Yellow Labrador Retriever, Shana.
