Jessica Shen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is committed to supporting families in their unique story and facilitating steps to bring change. Jessica utilizes a biological and developmental framework, while employing different evidence-based practices. She specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, Mindfulness, as well as movement and play modalities. Jessica offers tailored care to each unique individual and aims to create a supportive environment by working with the client’s parents, school staff, and community supports.

Jessica has worked with families in a variety of settings including in-home therapy, school-based therapy, as well as outpatient clinics. She advocated for clients in 504 and IEP meetings, and has helped create recommendations for behavior plans. Her experience with children, teens, young adults, and parents from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds has grounded her practice with clients to include a strong focus on biological, developmental, and cultural factors.

Background & Credentials

Jessica Shen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland. She earned her Masters in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2014. Jessica completed her Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Neurobiology and Physiology from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2010. We are excited to announce that she in process of training her very own Therapy Dog (certification date TBA!)
