About Sachele

Sachele Edwards is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and MSDE-Certified School Psychologist, specializing in evidence-based care for children, adolescents, and their families. Sachele began her studies in psychology at Hunter College, earned her Master’s and Certificate of Advanced Studies in School Psychology from Bowie State University, and further refined her clinical expertise through professional counseling studies at the University of Baltimore.

Experience & Expertise

Sachele’s experience spans early childhood programs, public and private schools, alternative settings, outpatient mental health agencies, and psychiatric rehabilitation programs. She has specialized training in supporting children with developmental, social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, with expertise in assessment, evaluation, diagnostics, prevention and intervention, crisis response, parent/family support, educational advocacy, and individual, couple, and family therapy.

Sachele’s approach is flexible and integrative, drawing from evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, mindfulness strategies, and expressive therapies, including art and play therapy. Through encouragement, positive reinforcement, and skill-building, she helps children and teens develop self-compassion, increase emotional awareness, and make meaningful progress—one step at a time.

Sachele works closely with parents, providing education, guidance, and practical strategies to support growth and strengthen family relationships, offering telehealth services for convenience.

  • Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI): Equips professionals with safe, nonviolent strategies to de-escalate and respond to behavioral crises.
  • Zones of Regulation: Teaches children to recognize their emotions and develop self-regulation skills.
  • SPLIT: Helps children and families navigate separation or divorce through film-based coping strategies and healthy communication.

Sachele extends her work beyond direct clinical care through curated wellness experiences, including Movie Nights, Zen Nights, Yoga, Aerial Yoga, and an annual event honoring children of parents diagnosed with cancer.
