Selena Meetze is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) who specializes in working with children and adolescents in an individual and family setting. She utilizes a variety of treatment modalities in her practice including Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Family Systems and Motivational Interviewing skills (MI). Selena collaborates with the client and family to determine the therapeutic goals, length of treatment (long term or brief intervention) and develop an individualized treatment plan.

Selena believes in empowering each of her clients and uncovering strengths in disguise to help navigate the changes and transitions that life may bring. Selena takes an integrative approach to help each client strengthen familial bonds, overcome obstacles, and thrive.

Background & Credentials

Selena Meetze is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2018. Selena completed her Bachelors of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Human Development from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2014.

Selena has worked with clients and families in a variety of settings including in-home services, Partial Hospitalization Programs, Intensive Therapeutic Group Homes, Youth Shelters, and school-based settings. She works collaboratively with the client and their support system to create an integrated treatment plan which engages, assists and empowers the client to make positive steps in achieving their therapeutic goals.

Selena was raised and currently resides in Montgomery County, Maryland with her two cats who provide hours of entertainment. She enjoys spending time in nature, drawing, painting, and yoga.
